I went to open the central glove box this morning and heard a crack and the lock handle broke and is now in need of replacement but I am struggling to find where I can buy just the handle part,it seems that only the whole glovebox assembly is available, has anyone else had a problem with this handle and if so where you able to buy a replacement handle

Did you ever get this sorted? I’m about to list our central glovebox up for sale in the classifieds, after we replaced it with the cup holder.

Yes thanks , I refused to buy the whole glove box so I took the lock to bits and made a new part ,it looked like it would be a permanent fix but to feel better I put the repaired lock in the small glove box on passenger side as this hardly gets used and put the one from there in the main glove box, thanks anyway

I would be interested in your glove box as I have one that’s damaged.

It’s always a good idea to keep original stuff for later on such as if you sell your van you can put it back.
I do agree for many things, but that's part of the reason I don't have the space to keep the 'spare' glovebox! :D

In this case, whilst some do prefer the glovebox, the cupholder does come as standard on newer models, so I'm considering this a fairly innocuous upgrade, plus we hope to hold onto the van for a long time!
