When I fitted a double DIN radio into our 2021 Fiat Ducato PVC, as well as a standard ISO / DIN connector, an additional plug / socket was also coming off the radio loom. See photos. There are only three wires - one white, one black, and one white with a green stripe. Any idea what it is for?

(For reference, the van as supplied new, was without a radio, has no steering wheel controls, but was fitted with "radio preparation" - making fitting of an aftermarket radio a doddle).

I think it's an ISO "C" connection with the white\green being a 12v switched supply, white is remote input and black is remote ground but .........

If you've got a multimeter you could put this over the pins to check if power when ignition is on.

Thanks. I'll investigate a "C" connector further. Hadn't heard of one before.
However, the main ISO connector contains both a permanent positive and an ignition-switched live.

I was wondering if the mystery connector contained possibly a switched live from selecting reverse? Useful if I fit a reversing camera in future.

Just found this and posts #2 and #4 seems to suggest the connector is for steering wheel controls.

Thanks Gellyneck - I can't follow all the technical info in the link that you have given, but agree that it looks like the mystery connector is related to steering wheel controls.
Much appreciated. (y)
