Yesterday we went to pick up our 2023 Fiat Ducato up from storage to go away for a couple of weeks, loaded it up then when I started the engine it had several warning lights on dash, check power steering, electronic stability control and hill decent control. It now has no power steering at all, several forums say this is down to water ingress in the wiring loom. Would this be covered under warranty, I only have two months warranty left from the dealer where I bought it from also from Fiat camper assist. Luckily we have recently returned from three weeks touring France with no problems. I will call the dealers tomorrow and see what they say, I may have to give my breakdown cover a call as the dealer is 35 miles away and the nearest Fiat professional 20 miles.

Are they amber warning lights or red ?
As Others have said it’s possible to drive if they are amber warning lights ,
but steering will fill heavy but driveable , ??

I think there are other power steering failure threads on recent ducatos on here if you do a search.
Seems motor vehicles built today come with pre loaded faults as standard - shocking 😮

Yes it will be covered. Mine failed 2 weeks before the warranty ran out all covered by Fiat. Whereabouts are you? Fiat Rockingham cars in Corby were very good at sorting ours out. Get it booked in asp but be prepared for a wait for parts.
Good luck.

Also fiat will take care of getting your van to the garage.Your first port of call should be a phone call to fiat assist which is a 24/7 phone number so you can phone them today.

known Fiat problem and if it is still covered by Fiat Assist it should also be covered by the Fiat Warranty. Get in touch with a Fiat Professional garage as soon as you can to report the failure.

Called at Fiat Professional garage at Chesterfield today and got my van booked in for second week in June. The way the guy was talking it's a common weekly job they do, they keep the wiring harness in stock but nine out of ten vans need the steering rack changed also, which is not in stock and on a back order. So fingers crossed. I will have to call Fiat Assist to get my van transported to the workshop.

Off to Fiat Professional Chesterfield today.

Collected our van back today, all repaired. It's had two new wiring looms, steering rack and a power steering motor. I asked what guarantee is on this and was told, Fiat give a two year guarantee on all parts and work but as this is warranty repairs it only lasts until your warranty runs out. My warranty runs out in five weeks time so basically I have a five week guarantee. Anyone know if this is correct?

5 weeks,unfortunately

I'm afraid this is true. You used to be able to contribute to a repair with a £1 and get the two year guarantee but no more as I found out when my power steering went ting tong. Just shows you the faith they have in the product.

Do you know if the new looms are modified in any way?
