Ducato Gearbox difference

Hi all please can you help I have a ducato 1.9td and have an issue with the gearbox I have a 20ke22 but can get hold of a 20ke28 does anyone know the difference and if it will just fit as I'm am struggling to find the information.

Don't know, need to check bell housing and perhaps starter motor housing to ensure it bolts up. Don't know the gearing comparison either.

What is the problem with the gearbox, have you tried a fluid change?

I "think" that the gearbox is the same across the range with a different bell housing to fit the different engines. It certainly used to be, with very little development of the gearbox

Hi mine has a metallic rattle in 4 and 5th at 3/4 to full throttle and had had new oil perfectly clean coming out, checked the 5th gear issue all bolts tight and no sign of damage
