I'm having a few issues with the Ducato Front seats, in that after about 200 miles, get real hip and left calf pain. Leading to Sciatica.
Does anyone else have issues with these seats and how did you resolve it.
I took the drivers seat out on Saturday, weighed so much couldn't get it back, split the frame from the rotating frame, weighed this at 12/13KG, which makes the combined weight of both seats about 50 KG.
My model is a 2014 Dethleffs Trend. Are all the Ducato seats the same, and just different covers?

Some have adjustment for: fore & aft, recline, lumber, up & down on front & rear of the squab

Some only gave fore & aft and recline only

Mine are the former: 565 miles non stop & if I didn't need gas, I would have driven further....

Is this the same seat?

If so, they are the same \ very similar to our 2013 Autotrail (different covering though)..
Rather than the seat being the issue could it be because there's a slight offset on the pedals?

Are you sure you can't alter the squab front and back? The adjustments aren't obvious on our Dethleffs as they're just a kind of small panel you pull out with your fingertips to unlock the squab.

If mine become uncomfortable in the leg it is usually because the front edge of the seat is too high and tilting the seat a little forward lowers the front edge which eases the circulation and solves the problem.

If the root cause of the problem is your lumbar back area which is where sciatica starts from then I find sitting very upright helps.

I generally don't find the seats terribly comfortable on long journeys and find that I have to adjust the seat in all directions to vary the position to ease the discomfort. This applies to both our 2011 AutoTrail and our 2014 N & B Arto.

Thanks everyone, and the seats are dead same as in the photo. Have had the same suggestion twice of reinstalling the seat without the swivel. Which would be a shame as I use the seat facing the rear the most.
Will have a go at every position imaginable. But until getting back on the road, will be guess work. Thanks again.
