Ducato alternative earth position

i'm sure i read a thread not so recently about using flat tinned braid and the radiator mount as an alternative position for an additional earth connection. Ive tried searching to no avail, any ideas.

I would have thought anywhere in the chassis that you get a metal to metal connection (ie not covered in underbody sealant) would work.

I read gearbox to bolt under fuel filter recently for an extra engine earth.

I read a post today about fixing the earth strap to a rad mount (on a Ducato?) and GuruLenny HB mentioned that it's necessary to take care where exactly the strap is connected as many rads are mounted in/on rubber or plastic bushes.

I have used lead from battery to engine block lift eye. Little clamp and bracket. I also renewed one previous owner may have fitted Gearbox to body/inner wing. Quick and easy.

I left the original braided and added another, battery lead type, from the original bolt on the chassis to one of the gearbox bolts after first making certain both contact point were clean and I added a touch of copper ease.

When mine was playing up I replaced the old, corroded one with two new ones (both to the same point).

Never been an issue since.
