Hello all.

Can anyone point me to a sensibly priced steering boss kit for my 1999 MK2 230 Ducato?
My poor partner is on the small side regarding height and reaching the pedals without the huge van wheel digging in her ribs is an issue.
I have a MOMO 36cm wheel and horn button already - need boss kit.
£79 on eBay.
£12 from China.

Would prefer something in between!

Surely someone else has changed wheel before too?

I changed mine when I first got my van in 2009 and I my kit from Marcle Leisure, not sure if they still do them.
Sorry not a lot of help I know

It's safety, it's your steering wheel and for the sake of other road users, spend the £79 and don't opt for a Chinese one, I'll send the £79 if needs be.

I agree with you on the Chinese part. But it is just a piece of shaped metal with pre drilled holes..... Don't like the idea it is £79 worth!

I understand that, but I think you'll find it's not just a piece of shaped metal, but more likely machined metal and of a much higher grade steel, and machined parts are more expensive due to their very nature, manufacture and requirements.

Can you imagine the torsional properties applied to it when you're travelling at 60mph, the weight of a motorhome, possibly a cross wind, uneven road surfaces and power steering and then constantly having to make hundreds of minor adjustments to the steering, as well as the need for slow speed manoeuvres turning full lock to lock.

It's a tough life being a steering boss:)

Good luck with your search.
