Although I had the so called mod/adjustment carried out my Speedo and rev counter are barely visible in daylight so got myself a usb reading light from Amazon , below are the off where you can just see the dim dash lighting and on where it is white light , will check on a run out before final fixing.

I stuck a short length of led strip under the upper cowl, the sort which have the led's light going sideways which has made huge difference

I thought it was just me who couldn't see the speedo during the day! Great solutions, thank you, something else I NEED to buy! :giggle:

This is the one I used

Have a look at www.lockwoodinternational.co.uk I fitted their white

replacement dial faces and they improved viewing of my Peugeot van speedo etc quite well.
I have done the same to the Ducato, which is an improvement. However I have noticed its difficult to read on a foggy day if you need to put the lights on and the speed LEDs are illuminated

If you want something a little more permanent this COB LED strip is good, bought some the other week even though I haven't thought if a use for it yet 🤔 (think I've got a bit of an LED problem 😆)

Has already been said but I also have a cheap heads up display. No need to look at speedo then. Probably the best and most useful addition to the van.

I had considered one but with the a class cab the screen display would be quite distant.

Can't see the damned dials anyway as the steering wheel obscures them, and the figures are way too small to read accurately when abroad and doing kph.

Solution is to have a decent display on the satnav/head unit with prominent speedo. As it's a GPS derived speed, it's much more accurate than the inbuilt speedo anyway.

I've also bought one of those HUD thingies - just haven't fitted it yet.

I know what you mean but I think it would still work well on A Class. For £30 if it doesn’t work sell it on you’d get £20 back

Just remember you can calibrate it to a degree. I've set mine so if it shows 60mph for example sat nav is showing 58 mph hopefully means I avoid the sneaky hidden camera. Saying that I do find it easier keep to limit as it's so visible.

I think Fiat missed a trick on the 'information' screen where the date and fuel consumption and other stuff that I think that most people don't use often is shown. Why didn't they put a digital speed readout option there as I have in my Ford car? Would have been much easier to read and safer to use than the speedo dial which is set back too far.
