Advice please.
Thinking about getting one of these

19.5 inch overhead screen - Overhead | Xtrons

We specialize in aftermarket in-car entertainment products including Car DVD players such as In dash DVD, Flip Down DVD and Headrest DVD, plus Auto GPS

Anybody with one or comments on the spec like to chip in with your thoughts?
I know it's more expensive than a dedicated TV but nowhere to put one of those.
Going to be fitted at rear above barn doors connected to firestick.
( have enough power and data)

Would a dropdown TV bracket and a standard TV \ monitor be a cheaper option for you, obviously, if you have the space?

Not the screen - but the projectors are problematic... the mini ones aren't very bright, so useless in anything but dark. The bigger more powerful ones tend to be noisy [fan] and replacement bulbs are pricey.
One of the vanlifers actually just used a white kitchen roller blind. Cheap & cheerful and adequate.

So done a bit more research and found a 17.3" monitor that is android so no need for the firestick. Cast from phone or load the apps direct and teather so phone signal could be the only downside. External aerial and mifi might be needed but dont want to go there unless easy solution unworkable.
Unfortunately a bit more expensive.

We’ve been happy watching tv through our iPad, but considering a drop down screen as well.

The one you’re looking at is £185 on Amazon.

Sapper520 unfortunately that's the old windows CE one so no speakers and going to need the firestick with that and a bit limited for other things.

We use a bluetooth speaker, so I assume it will work through that?

What do that use to fix it in place?

I take it’s a mains power only set up?

it is 12 volt, and is fixed with hidden screws, for sound the TV links on a chosen channel with the radio, so we get sound via our 4 pioneer speakers
You will note that it does take USB and HDMI so ideal for fire stick or memory stick

Many thanks. I’ve got plenty of USB power points, can it be plugged into one of those or does it have to be hardwired in?

I’ve seen that some people attach it to their roof using heavy duty Velcro, which would be easier to do.

Your USB points will probably be a 5v output. Would guess it would have to connect to a 12v supply.

I was seriously thinking of going for the 19" version of the one TCG posted.
No bluetooth though - FM to vehicle radio or IR sound.
I want to mount it in the back above the doors so the stero from the radio would be wrong way around.
Really struggling to convince myself to spend 300 for what is going to be used mostly as a telly.
Good to hear that the picture quality is considered good.
They are designed for vehicles so I guess its happy with the variable 12v but if I spend the money I think I might put a voltage stabliser on the power feed.

Sorry just reread you post the usb shown on my quote is an external (outbound) USB. the tv has to be hard wired
