I have had a problem previously with the drop down bed in my Hymer. A bolt on the mechanism had been working loose, even though it had a lock nut on it.
The brass bearing had broken up and let the bolt take the weight/motion thereby wearing away the bolt and main steel bar/beam.
We fixed this with new bearings and bolts, so everything worked fine after that, nearly 3 years ago now.
My point for this thread is, I went out yesterday to check everything over again and found they all needed a quick tighten up, nothing loose or coming apart.
On the Hymer, I used two 17mm spanners, one ratchet and one normal, took about 15 minutes, all done either via the sliding window or thhrough the door on the other side.
