New to Motorhome, experienced caravanner 😊
Having followed Northernraiders European blog avidly, I realise that quite a few folk want dog photos!
So I thought I’d take a photo a day of my two for our trip to France.
We are celebrating hubbys retirement by going away for 6 weeks!
No plans, just follow the weather ☀️

This is Louie and Drew at our first stop at Warwick. 400 miles down today, Folkestone tomorrow to collect their AHC and tunnel on Tuesday 🇫🇷

Before you travel to Folkstone tomorrow have a good look at Kent traffic news and whether M20 is open. Operation Stack causing some problems but they are doing some managing now.
Good luck, I hope you don’t get stuck,

I see that, hoping it won’t affect us 🤞🏻

Stopped to collect AHC at Abbeywell this morning without issue. What a ridiculous document it is!
Only a interior photo of the doggies today, too cold and miserable for pictures outside today! Where is the sunshine!
Tunnel tomorrow morning, goodness know what delays await us 🐾🤔

We’re at Abbeywell Wednesday, booked into a vet in Belgium to hopefully get an eu pet passport.

The most difficult part was parking nearby! Oh and you need a mask! No one told me that!
That’s ok because we wear mask in any shops and I can drop and move around.

We’ve arrived! First stop, Les Andelys, SE of Rouen. Cool and cloudy but at least it’s dry.

Tunnel was a breeze, no delays and we even got put on an earlier train 👍🏻

Walk up to Chateau Gaillard today. Very windy!
Have seen river cruise ships stop here but today there were none.
Heading further south tomorrow as it supposed to rain all day 😫

Lovely to see your doggies, they look in such wonderful condition, and clearly very much enjoying their holiday-looking forward to more dog pics!

Absolutely miserable travel day today, and even more miserable walk when we got here! Pouring with rain, then a big dog ran out on to the road to get to our dogs and was hit by a car!!! It was totally fine but it when it went back to its house it got its big steroid pal ti come and both tried to start fights with our two as we walked up the pavement 😫 I shouted and tried to chase them away when the owner eventually started shouting on them. It was scary 😟

Drew and Louie are totally fine but didn’t manage to get a pic of them today so here’s a photo from home just before we left. (In the sunshine 🤔😖)

That sounds awful. Shut the door, close the blinds, pour a glass of something, curl up with the dogs, put a film on and chill. Tomorrow is another day and it's bound to be better than the one you've just had! :giggle:

Yesterday was very wet. Got an early walk in then strong blustery winds and driving rain all day.
We had a big Alsatian trying to get to our JRT a few years back we had quite a job and the old lady couldn’t hold it.
I’m always worried about dogs in France there doesn’t seem to be the same control or consideration.

Where did you get to today?

Morning walk up to Chateau Montrichard. Bit underwhelmed!
Dogs posing for their photo when the church bells started clanging, it was loud!!

When you post your lovely photos can you click the “full size” icon and that will allow us to see them better than the thumb print size.

I will try?! I choose the biggest size and then get a thumbnail?

Further south today, in Confolens at the most beautiful site!! Very well kept ground and lovely owners. €15 a night with Acsi.
Camping des Ribieres.
Feeling a lot warmer and sunshine ☀️ 😍<Broken link removed>

Thanks for posting we’re heading for Brittany in June so taking note of the sites you recommend. We have an older dog so can’t do the long walks that we used to.
So we now look for country sites which are closer to villages/towns so that we can just have a wander.
