Drain down

Do you mean just for a short period between trips or for a few months over winter?
I drain mine if being left more than 2 weeks in order to start the next trip with entirely fresh water.

If you give make, model and year you might get more specific replies

Hi in old coachbuilt Burstener just turned wheel under benchseat and water drained away. Did this after each trip so water always fresh and in winter no frost damage. New to us Bavaria A class i740 no sign of drain wheel nothing in manual so now concerned re frost damage ! In winter months

In My Rapido ("A" Class) the Drain control in under the Kitchen, as is the drain valve for the Water heater?. May be of some use?.

If you type burstner i740 how to drain water into safari there seems to be various information. Tried Bavaria i740 but lots of information about yachts. Hopefully that helps

........so you've not made any progress from the info in this thread either.

There must be a way of doing it surely, is there an owners club? Or look online for a dealer of these vans and contact them?

There's a 3rd thread going on the same subject Paul where the Pilote/Bavaria guys have confirmed the same (incl myself as a former 740 owner).

Probably all my posts still cant find dumo valve
Found frost valve will just have to drain via that until we find it

Can you take a photo of your garage and post it up here. It'll give us something to work with.

Here are some more pics for you. These are of my last van (a Pilote 740, just like your own Bavaria 740).

The white pipe in the picture is the fresh water tank pipe which I had to fit myself because the factory don't fit them as standard. The fresh water on your Bavaria will exit from a 1-2 inch pipe from the Center of the water tank which is strapped under the rear chassis.

You still need to remove the bung from the garage access point though.

Its a long story bought the van off Motorhome depot and the warranty is with a third party so they not a Bavaria authorised dealer. Just a local place that would do the warranty work which now turns out probably not covered under warranty so the dilema continues.

Sorry to hear the last part about the warranty. Anything serious or can you DIY-it yourself.
