We used the CC CL ,, ( in fact the ONLY time we used any of the CL facility's )
Lovely lady runs it and if you are in to amateur radio the antenna array the chap has will impress the hell out of you..
Site was £7.00 and the leccy was a quid in a meter

We always go on the carpark on Union Street. It is free after 6.00 and you don't need to leave before 9.00. It is very well lit and secure, there is a little park to walk your dog adjoining the carpark and the Police station overlooks. We always feel very safe there!

The best part is that there is an excellent Chinese takeaway and a fish and chip shop just around the corner. If you want a pub with good home cooked food, that is also within a couple of minutes walk. An excellent stop over for the night.

We have done the CL's in Dover, parked in a muddy dark field and paying £9 for the pleasure! NO THANKS!!

The latitude is 51.12162 deg North Longitude 1.31397 deg E on Union Street.

If you send me a PM I will forward the map, I still haven't worked out how to do that on here!!

Hi WeeJohn
You can overnight on Marine Parade near to Dover Docks.
There is a width restriction at the far end, so go to the roundabout at Jubilee Way and come back on yourself.
Go past the first entrance and enter Marine Parade via Wellesley Road.

Hi,

A bit further away but still only 15/20 miniutes from the dock, is the London Road, Park & Ride at Canterbury, there is a pub/restaurant attached, and if you are early enough the fee (£2 I think) includes the bus ride into Canterbury.

hope that helps

Hi Phill,

There is no lock and you can leave whenever you want, there is a security van which patrols every so often and we noticed a couple of Taxi Drivers used it last time we went. The only downside is that if you are there when they empty the glass recycling it can be a bit noisy. We always park under the lights in the middle of the car park.

Mike

Thank you one and all.
Several spots appear to be in contention for us and we'll toss a coin when we get close!
Regards, Wee John
