Hi folks, as the title suggests, we're thinking of buying an induction hob. Are they compatible with the double skillet?

believe you can get an induction compatible plate which you can put a normal pan on top, but might have been dreaming and before it is suggested am not mixing it up with the thing you put on top of a gas hob.

If you want to know if a pan is compatible with an induction hob just put a magnet on it. If it sticks it is compatible, if it doesn't stick it isn't compatible.

Yup, I tried this tip. The magnet holds to the base if the pan, but only just

It clearly says on their website “not for induction hobs” so I would assume they would know!

They are not exactly the highest quality pans in the world so they really are only suitable for gas and ordinary electric, honest. The diffuser is to stop stuff from burning.

We have an induction hob and looked at the induction plates as a solution.

Reviews suggest they can damage the hob. The heat transfer is poor so gets a lot hotter than a pan does which can mark or even crack the hob. Not worth the risk

We've got a brand new set of copper pans in the loft we can't use.
