My old caravan was bought unseen (yes i know you shouldnt but i did) i found out on the first night that the fridge was kaput, ive now had caravan serviced, and theres a lot needs doing, but sourcing a fridge is a problem, i bid up to £810 on ebay, but didnt bid enough,i thought about just getting a small electric fridge £125 russell hobbs ,but would really like to use THS sites next summer,as ive always enjoyed them, when we had motorhome,
its going into workshop to get damp sorted next week, the water pump doesnt work, and the gas cylinders need securing, ive seen a rm5310 at £900 and same model at £1800 whats the game ?? Does anybody know of a breakers , or appliance supplier that is genuine ,i think the one ive seen at £900 is cak tanks ive heard of them but had no dealings,
i paid £2,300 for caravan its 30 years old ,but the layout really suits us ,fingers crossed the damp doesnt cost the same as van🤞 As its £30 an hour lol
im waiting to see how much the damp costs before i decide what to spend on fridge
might have to make do with a stainless bucket of cold water for the milk lol

Don't know if this will help or hinder but I have had this .pdf file for a few years.
It is supposed to show alternatives within Dometic products.

You may need Adobe software to open it.

have you considered a compressor fridge and adding solar panels? or a small 240v fridge and some way of charging a powerbank whilst 'off grid'

of course theres no point spending any money until you have the caravan sorted first, so i think youre wise to stand back and wait (though hopefully you wont need to lie down when you get the quote for resolving the damp .... )

Compressor fridge, definitely the way to go.

Keep the old fridge box, remove the 3 way gubbins and fit a compressor kit. Something like this, there's different ones though..

I would go down the compressor fridge route and solar panels, especially if not planning to use it in winter.
Hope that the damp isn't a game changer
