Hi all. We've hit a small snag with our new van. The fridge is of the automatic, 3-way type and whilst it operates on all 3 supplies just fine, it doesn't change from gas to the alternator supply automatically. We have tried giving it some time to "sense" the different supply is available, but it will just sit on gas quite happily for ever if we let it. We've looked online and this seems to be a problem caused by the D+ suple fuse. Does anyone know where this is? We are on a Ford Transit 2021 base vehicle.

Many thanks as always for any help!

With respect have you set it to Auto, the blue A light will be lit. Do you have an electric step does that either close or sound a buzzer or show a light when you start the engine. Both need a D+ signal from the alternator to operate. On our Dometic you can select any of the three power sources in auto.

The D+ normally controls a few things, such as outside light, step possibly Han electrics. Is everything else working ok with engine on, and off?
D+ normally comes from starter battery and has a fuse near that for protection.

D+ originates from the alternator when it starts charging, its the same source that extinguishes the red light on the dashboard.

If your system is the cbe power supply check the small usually 3 amp fuse in the bank of 12v fuses.. on mine it's on the right hand end of the bankof fuses..I think its labeled d+..

Thanks for all the replies. I'll try and reset the fridge and see if that helps at all. We spoke to our dealer today and have the van booked to have a few other snags sorted out next Monday, so I'll keep you all updated.
