Hi maybe someone can help or advise, we were away for the weekend in our motorhome and we went out for the afternoon and locked the motorhome and put the alarm on not thinking that anything could go wrong, when we got back after about an hour the Dometic fridge alarm went off, thinking the worse we tried on gas all ok,
we have had this problem be4 and told there is a 12volt feed to the fridge, although it's on mains 240v charging all the time, we now have discovered that when the motorhome alarm is on it drains the engine battery and triggers the fridge alarm to go off,has anyone else had similar problems?

regards Joe

Alarm may be because the fridge door is not properly latched closed

Fridge alarm/switching off will happen if the voltage of the dc feed to it drops below its set minimum level. This is to protect the battery.
Sounds to me as though its your van alarm system which is sucking power from your engine battery to the point where the fridge shuts down to avoid your engine battery getting so flat that it wouldn't start the vehicle.
