A fault on our domestic AES fridge freezer, fitted to our Hymer B675 has led me to this forum
Unit works fine on gas, not sure about 12v, but definitely not on 230v
There is 230v to the fridge, but not to the element when 230v selected, have tried it with the element unplugged on CB no voltage across pins, would this suggest the CB is faulty, does anybody know if this is a serviceable part, any suggestions gratefully received

Is the power switched by a relay on the pcb? First thing I would check is the relay coil getting a 12v feed.

Looks like you have a reasonable understanding 👍 I would agree with your findings that it must be a board fault 👍

find local Dometic agent and buy a new board should be the quickest fix or at least rule that out. I would think waiting for a slot for repair could mean eating till after summer based on comments on here about lead times 🤔

maybe try and talk to an engineer before buying, but can’t really see what else it could be , hope it isn’t daft money 👍

If the board is the thermostat as well (looks like it with all the electronics) it could be the temperature sensor faulty.

I had to replace the CB on my Dometic fridge on my previous van. I stripped the unit down and spoke to my Dometic engineer who had a spare board. He dropped by and swapped the board and all worked fine. Ensure the yellow control knob is not broken at the back. Common fault.
