well found r32paul and then hippy for locating a picture of the light in situ. I can only assume I wasn't given the home light as I cant find it in the van.
Just checked the spec list on the burstner website and its an optional extra. Fancy fitting a charging station and not providing a £70 light in a 70 grand motorhome!

Yes, I have one in my Lyseo 680G and when the dealer told me On collection what it was for, I wanted one...until he told me the price! Yes, it should be included in 70k Motorhome! I may relent once we have used the van a bit more. To be honest, there are so many lighting options fitted that if you switched them all on at once it would look like Blackpool illuminations! They could have cut one of those options out and had the rechargeable mood lamp instead...particularly as they took the effort to wire the charger in.
As an afterthought...had I known what the full spec was before I made the purchase, I may have asked for one to be included in the deal? Mmmm.

Have you tried pressing the bit in the middle to see if it pops up ?

I wouldn't press the bit in the middle in case it is 'live'. Looks like a screw in bulb holder. Maybe.

Glad you got your answer. How crazy to fit the charger as standard but not the lamp itself. Penny pinching and wasteful all in the same action

Yes, I'm thinking of fitting my WiFi dome on the roof directly above and powering the MiFi from that outlet.

I reckon it’s a sensor of some sort, maybe the thermostat for the heating system?

No doubt Burstner and the retailer made a fortune. How much(?) If you genuinely don't know, why haven't you called them? Upon collection, perhaps the retailer could (should) have run through all the equipment with you and answer such questions.

I collected just after lockdown and SD being practiced - therefore, only one person inside van at a time. However, I saw it and did ask what it was for and he gave me the answer: A rechargeable light! Having already purchased and paid for the vehicle a month or so earlier having negotiated over 8k discount And a second battery, I could hardly start trying to blag an extra light on collection!

I was very happy getting a new 2020 9 speed auto Burstner @ over 8k discount! Having been in business myself for 40 yrs, I know the difference between negotiating a discount that leaves everyone happy - or leaving a bitter taste! I guess some people want to nail people to the ground...not me!
