Dog passport

Hi all just got back from a vet in Spain that I'd used twice before to get dog wormed before I returned to the UK
Asked if I could have a Spanish passport for my dog 20 mins later and 25 euros had one just copied all the info from British one and added the rabies injection that was recorded job done could not believe how easy it all was

Coming back 11 Oct vet said they would put worming on both new passport and UK vets papers will let you know when I get back but guy at brittany ferries on way out said it was easier with eu passports so hoping no problems

Can you clarify this a bit? Did you have a British 'EU' Pet passport from before, or was it a British Animal Health Certificate (AHC)?

Either will do, if its in date.

Phoned vet a and checked booked a rabies jab with pre check worming for return jabs In Spain only valid for 12 months so will be ok to return next year will give address a d tel No of vet on next post as I know where they are but haven't made note of address
Had old British passport and the expensive AHC will have both for return but will only use Spanish passport with other in reserve

As long as you get the eu passport, even with one year jab, then next year you can get a three year in France Germany and avoid any future ahc’s. Big saving.
