At present Fudge has a soft Ancol harness-for walks-but just recently she’s found she can back out of it!
Anyone got ideas on harnesses or a harness they/they’re dog likes/works?

W had a sort of breakthrough yesterday when we met a (rather fat) Beagle, she went a bit nuts at first & tried to rip it apart but after standing talking, with owner, for a minute we all moved off in same direction and apart from looking at it a few times she more or less ignored it!
Now I need to meet more people that are willing to walk with the crazy pup!

We have tried several over the years, just got a Julius K9 after seeing one used by the staff at the animal hospital, they do all sizes and you can order name tags etc.on line as well

This is the one that I have for Buzz. B&M stores sell them for £7.99.

We use a Puppia jacket harness B which Misty has never managed to wriggle out of and doesn’t cause her any irritation or rubbing.

They do a variety of sizes and colours (including plain).

Hi,
The Freedom No-pull harness works well on our very active Cocker pup and he cant reverse out of it.

Dogs sitting for #2 daughter for a few days and one of hers has a Julius K9.

Never seen a harness more easy to fit and looks really comfy on the dog.

We use a harness on our JR as he gets so excited on a collar he chokes himself and faints but it's a faff to fit so this one is on the books as a replacement.

We have one of these for Stanley, our Border Terrier:
Amazon product ASIN B01MY7UNFYI can totally recommend them and them and they have the added advantage of the handy carry handle, extremely useful when he's being a total PITA.
If Fudge is the right size for a Small one of these then I have one that you can have. (size details on the Amazon link) We brought it for Stanley but he's a bit of a muscle bound beast so it was a bit too small for him, so it was worn a couple of times and been sitting in the cupboard for the past few years. If you want to give it a try ping me you address via messenger (or whatever it's called) and I'm more than happy to post it to you.

another vote for The K9 harness. decent quality and easy to put on.

The Julius K9 harness is so good the emergency services use them too. The design comes from the military dog harnesses. It includes built in reflective strips and velcro name pads.
The velcro pads are brilliant to warn other dog owners about anything to do with your dog
Ronnie is an assistance dog so has this on his harness
Ceran is near blind so hers says this
Merlin has nervous on his

Ours have the Julius K9 harnesses, mainly for use in the motorhome while travelling. The dogs don't seem to object so must be reasonably comfortable. Occasionally used with a short lead for town walking.

Thanks for the offer, think it may be too big. I will measure her chest tomorrow we’ve all collapsed for the night now!
Thanks for the offer, will let you know
In the morning.

We have tried lots over the years found the k9 harness the best.So easy to fit and our dog can’t get out of it

Our Spice, the dark red and white collie, is getting to be a big boy. Measured his chest tonight, 78cm. His size 0 julius k9 is at the end of its adjustment. Size 1 coming from Amazon tomorrow.

Just bought a Julius K9 - the long walk joint guard one which is Y shaped at front so leaves shoulders free to move.
Yogis comfortable in it, it’s easy to fit, I think he pulls less and it has a handle so I can hold him more securely if a car is coming.
