Assuming no deal can we go to Spain in mid Sept for 3 months. Leave van in storage. Return flight in early Jan for 3 months. I am thinking many are contemplating this idea.

No reason why not! You need to do the maths as storage costs may be more than a return journey. Also, consider insurance cover whilst in storage and MOT.

True. But we want to squeeze the pips out of it. So only back for a week over Xmas & new year for family. As I type this it's dawned on me that they could visit us if I find some accommodation.
