Hi all,

I decided to pay a visit to the roof today and to inspect the connection boxes preinstalled on the roof for the first time (boxes for Tv, Solar panel cables etc).

I noticed that both of the boxes were cracked; looked like stress fractures to me. I suspect that even if they are not leaking water at present, that they will eventually leak, leading to water penetration to the hab.

What do you think?

i would leave them if they are not leaking if they were done properly there's a good layer of sealant underneath

Some plastics age and become brittle as volatile components are lost coupled with uv degradation.
Looks like a bit of that plus a sideways load on the centre bush, probably in alternating directions.

The only prob with leaving them is even if they aren't leaking at this moment by the time you realise they are leaking a lot of the damage will already be done . Whereas if you replace them you will know that they are not in a damaged condition to start , and you can verify that no damage has already occurred . JMHO

The van is a 2018, and purchased new March 2019.
I’m going to raise with dealer as it’s in for some other warranty repair work soon.

Looks like the nut inside the moho has been overtightened
I use commercially available boxes with a roof spigot but no nut (in fact no thread on the spigot). They have a decent surface area for sealant unlike the traditional mh variety (with no spigot & a narrow peripheral sealing area). The only other thing worth doing is changing the lid screws for stainless if they aren't already. I agree with the over-tightened nut theory especially as there's no need for the nut. Similar to this but mine had a side spigot as well:
