Do you use bottled water for drinking water, The tap on a campsite or other location, or do you have a fitted filter system?

None of the above.
We take a separate container with water from home tap, which we top up with drinking water from CL’s or sites.
That is,we only use water from tank for washing pots and showers.

Yes we do, but if this is an extension to the other thread, we won't be over worried if there is a shortage of it.

Seagull filter in line water taste is like home.

I've never had a seagull in my water tank! :roflmto:

No bottled, no filter, just boiled for coffee or tea!

Otherwise I rely on beer, whisky or wine.

We had a General Ecology filter on the boat, which gave amazing water. I thought about fitting one in the MH but space is less freely available and we’ve tried to be incredibly careful at maintaining the new water tank, so the water has always been good. We use Aquasol liquid and it‘s worked really well.

We never used tank water for anything other than washing pots etc but used to buy bottled water during our long stays in EU. Then started using a Britta filter jug and obtaining 5L food grade canister filled at the site taps and filtered it for drinking & cooking. Did that for past 5 years throughout EU without any problems. Saved carrying all those bottles around between sites or getting them on our bikes 😊

We drink from the tank, but I'm careful about keeping it clean and about what I fill it with

The tank is fine in the uk however we do have a 5l container we fill up at a tap and use this for drinking water but if it runs out the main tank if fine. However as soon as we cross the Chanel I’m sorry it’s bottled all the way especially when we get to Spain.

I have bottled water in the MH and at home for drinking as just water but teas and coffee in the MH are made from the fresh water tank.

On my land I drink the beautifully fresh water from my very own borehole.

On the road I have one of these ...

Same here when in the UK.

When in Europe we buy the huge (cheap) bottles of water and in Italy even filled the fresh water tank from the bottles as the tap water was so mineral rich - I was worried that the boiler would be damaged.

Where's the option for I hardly ever drink water?. I stick with tea coffee (often decaff) wine and beer. We use water from the tank in the kettle

No bottled water purchased, as we drink filtered water from the tank. When crossing the channel, we change the limescale filter for the micro bacterial one, especially for Spain. The body definitely reacts differently (on a daily basis I hasten to add), when we drink the Spanish water direct from the tap, unless it is filtered. :whatthe:

Cheers

Jock. :)

When we first visited France, we bought 5L bottles. Now we have a Brita filter jug (same as at home) and carry a 6L (Croatia or Slovenia) bottle filled from wherever we fill the tank. When the handle breaks on that, we will buy 5L one to replace it.

In the van bottled, sometimes I refill the bottles my self from the sites taps.

Only use tank for washing and cleaning

Us too.

We keep a bottle of water in the fridge for taking our tablets. If we go out for the day we put it in the cool bag with a couple ice packs.

Us too. Works a treat with a 5L still water bottle from a supermarket then top it up as others have said. In Europe we simply use bottled water full stop for drinking.

Fitted a filter having seen how easy it was (excellent instructions from a fellow Murvi owner - Thanks DBK !!)

Good decision - has made life so much easier
