I'm a newbie
Hi, we have twice been bashed on our wing mirror and have had to replace, we now keep a replacement wing mirror in the van but wondering what your experience is with wing mirror covers and any advice appreciated.

I have them fitted, and have survived a few knock out punches,, so they get my vote,, (y)

It's a yes from me, just look at the war wounds on the covers on my MH, none of them my fault, all the Lewis Hamilton wannabes down country lanes.

Yep first thing I bought. Had a few hits in last year, did the job. Not indestructible but relatively cheap so why not.

I have the older type fitted to A class Hymers.
My near side mirror take a proper hammering from hedge rows, then all of a sudden there's a telegraph pole (or similar) hiding in the hedge, and this is the result of this week's outing to Wales

I bought white ones for my van, because they looked better than black mirrors. I don't know if they protect the mirrors or not, but I will say if you're involved in regular "jousts", maybe your driving style needs looking at.

I did my bit for motorhomes on the road from Hawks to Garsdale. I stopped to let a motorhome pass and he asked if I had any gaffer tape. He had caught his n/s mirror on a wall in the last village. If he could turn round I was stopping at Garsdale station for lunch and would see what I could sort out for him.
He had the foresight to pick up the bits of his mirror so we managed to cobble together a useable mirror.
I keep a spare mirror glass for our Transit for such happenings.

Definitely, yes. I fitted white ones - Vehicles coming in the opposite direction have more chance of seeing them. Have not been clipped or had a close shave since I put them on.

Definitely, we got mirror armour ones for our A class as mirror guard didn't do an Aclass one

I bet there are LOTS of people on here saying to themselves “Good idea, but which will suit my MoHo? Long Arm? Medium Arm? Short Arm?” I’ll start, Autotrail Apache 632 which one? Ducato X250 chassis I think......

TIA!!
