Hi guys step and oyster dish wont close when engine starts they used too any ideas regards steve

My engine won’t start unless the step in in

Probably on the same relay that kicks in when the voltage increases on the vehicle battery. That’s what works my step anyway.

It is also possible that your fridge is not working on 12v when the engine is running as as the step, satellite and fridge use the D+ signal from the alternator to activate them.

You need to check the connection to find if it is disconnected somwhere.

Thanks guys I think fridge is working going along on 12v

Found in a few Motorhomes, there is a relay in the (B) post, that's the one by the drivers right shoulder, it energises with the D+ signal from the alternator and has three outlets for fridge, step and hab lights. Quite often the signal for the sat dish is taken from the 12 volt supply for the fridge. If you have An Oyster dish it's usually the black wire, the red is +
Brown is -.
