Off to France Thursday.should I fill up in Uk or at Auchan in Calais?always used to be much cheaper in France but now ?

When we were there earlier in the month Auchan in Dunkirk was definitely the cheaper option but you can check online the price of fuel in France. Check with this website, https://www.fuelflash.eu/en/. Put in the Address/Post code for real time prices

https://www.prix-carburants.gouv.fr/ Check out this site French government official website, seriously accurate to the extent that the price for a fuel stop changed for the better when I was less than 60km from it. Recommended by another Funster, last used by me in first few days of July 2022 as we were heading back to the UK.

Having seen the price of diesel, in some of the remoter parts of the Scotland, I would not support that statement!

Just as a comparison we are on our last full day tour of Ireland.
We have noticed Diesel from as low as €1.83 to €2.08
We filled up when needed, most we paid was €1.98

Are the prices shown on the on-line fuel price apps including the French government subsidy or is the subsidy deducted when paying for the fuel?
