I'm a newbie only started 2021
Hi everyone. I'm wanting to install a diesel heater and run it straight from tank. The problem I have is I can't find where the servo is on the tank to fit it to. Eg I can't find a access point to get to it. Can anyone tell me if there is one on my van and if so how do I get to it. My motor home is a 1990 talbot express swift kon tiki.
Thanks in advance for your help in this matter.

Can you access top of tank (under seat in later Ducato vans)? There is sometimes a spare/breather pipe you can re-purpose? Or I have seen additional hole made right on top and then use appropriate length of pick up pipe so you never reach bottom of tank (and can't run out of fuel to start engine).

Or could be under the mat where the passengers feet will be .
a small hatch with self tapping screws . When removed your see the top of the tank the bit of tank you can see is where the sender valve for fuel level is. And as others have said a breather.

no spare hole for your takeoff then it’s best to remove the screwed or bolted plate….
remove it before drilling a new hole for your new heater.

note. However when drilling a new hole and fitting a take off pipe again it will have to be fully resealed.
there may be a kit on the market somewhere that has a purpose made take off fitting …

the reason well one reason for sealing the tank back up is That if you over fill the tank to the neck like I do fuel will just pour out of the unsealed hole. Over the tank and all over the floor..

Would we have to remove seats to be able a get to the plate if there is one. As we have already removed carpet from the middle section and found nothing.

Or pick up a feed on the low pressure side of the fuel filter, assuming you haven’t a in tank electri fuel pump,

Just in front of the passenger seat is there one there ?

if not your have to take a look underside and see where the fuel tank is located the plate for the sender fuel valve is on the top of the tank.
Access should be there.

No the front goes upwards like a slop so can't see one being there. It doesn't feel like these one. See not shore if you have to take out passengers seat to get to it. Has anyone got pic of this area please

No pictures sorry but the only option then is look underneath and find the tank see if you can get your hand on the top and feel the off take pipe.
if the is no hatch above the tank then the options get less.

Thanks for everyone help. We are going to put her on ramps so we can have a good look underneath. And take it from there. Thanks again guys.

Hi everyone just a quick update. We had to remove tank to get to servo as there is no point of access to it.we looked underneath after we had take tank off there was no panels that could have been removed to get to it.
