I have a Bursner nexxo. The exhaust pipe is about 12 inches (in old money) under the body and consequently after every journey at least half the body side is covered with a sooty deposit of exhaust fumes.
I am contemplating having it re directed level with the body side. Does anyone else experience this and an opinion of the remedy would be good.
Also any ideas as to the least harmful way of removing the deposit in the meantime.
Would appreciate any advice.;);)

Hi.
If it is pointing out towards the road, get an extension. You could go all Bling and have a Chrome piece fitted...... Make sure it does not foul the Fuel pump islands(y)

Unfortunately it ends in a downward curve so some hacksawing seems necessary:(

Race van conversion for years
Our's has a stainless tail pipe, which looks like it's out past the body, but if you put a straight edge against the body its just inside the body line. No sooty deposits (y) if there were you'd have to sweep them off .

A local independent garage would probably sort it for you, a simple clamp on extension after the end has been sawn off.

Most chrome extensions that appear flush with the side have the outlet underneath despite appearences. Diesel soot should come off easily with normal detergent.

Had the same issue with my Burstner A class and fitted a stainless extension with downward curve (sourced from EBay) and the problem was resolved. I think my issue was likely due to the exhaust having been sized for the base vehicle which didn’t take into account the extra width of the conversion to Moho
