We would like somewhere to free to park up tomorrow night within an hour max of Dieppe port but also be near to somewhere reasonably nice to eat. Any suggestions? (Don't like the sound of how much the aire by the ferry charges now!)

Thank you.

We stayed at the Auchan just about 10 mins from the port, they have a large shopping centre with a couple of places to eat including the Buffalo grill that looked really busy.

The Auchan complex is hard to beat as a stop whether you stay overnight or just shop, fill up with fuel and maybe eat.
Best place to park is up near the Buffalo Grill which is where you are most likely easily to park a MoHo. I have never stayed there overnight but others have (Edit: Post above added while I was typing!)
I was there last night before catching the 23.59 ferry. The car park was very busy being about 17:00 on a Saturday when I got there but I still had no problem parking up near the Buffalo Grill.
There is a buffet Chinese restaurant near the McDonalds if that would suit you.
I only shopped and filled with fuel before driving down into Dieppe where I had little difficulty parking up there (6 metre van) to get myself a decent fresh fish meal.
In case you do not know be aware that the Pont Colbert is completely out of action so easy access from the aire to the town centre by vehicle currently does not exist (There is a temporary foot bridge which will remain in place until the road bridge returns next year)

It was recommended to me by a few on here who have used it often, @JockandRita has used it a few times I think.
Only the once for us so far at Dieppe Gerry, but will do again in January hopefully.

It's the Auchan at Boulogne St Martin, which we have stayed over at a few times.

Stayed overnight?
Yes, safe and quiet with a couple of other MHs, after coming off the 22.00hrs ferry on a Saturday night. We hit the road at 06.00hrs, and had breakfast at Nonan Court on the N154.

Cheers,

Jock. :)

My posts on my other thread are a couple of days behind. We are doing roughly 5 hours driving a day through France. Not rushed. Latish start, stop for coffees, stop for lunch at somewhere interesting so we can take a walk. Stop driving by 6. No tolls.

To be honest I don't find France to interesting nowadays - been here too much over the years!
