Dieppe aire

What if one arrives in Dieppe from the UK very late at night, can you disembark from the ferry and stay in port till daylight or somewhere very close?
Drive out of the port & back in the entrance and park in the right hand lane, I've marked in red. They never use the two right hand lanes. You can park in the car park outside the terminal but that can get busy.

If we're referring to the same place I've stayed there many times and never seen any of that.
Can't see why they have to make such an effort to get in as they can walk in in off the road using the the main entrance or the zebra crossing.

No fences and plenty of gaps in the 'hedge'.

Yes, that's the one.
If you continue scrolling the yellow man on the map towards the dock/ferry entrance, you'll see that the hedge goes into a fenced area.
It's quite a large aire so no problems with space.
I can only give my experiences and suggestions from that.
Like I said in my original post, others will be along to say otherwise (and have done)

Hi Lenny HB, apologies for resurrecting an old thread, but ref staying overnight at the Dieppe DFDS ferry terminal before an early ferry home, do you need to book your overnight parking in advance with DFDS please?

We've stayed overnight at the ferry terminal in Newhaven before but not at the Dieppe end.

No, but it's quite noisy.
There are quite a few nice free spots within 15 to 20 min of the port we use those now days..

Thank you Lenny for your reply, we'll take a look at the other options, but otherwise we'll go armed with our earplugs, we're going to have had quite a long drive that day, so we won't be arriving to quite late. Thanks again for your speedy reply, much appreciated! 😊

This was our first & last stop on our last trip, we were the only ones there when we came back 3 weeks ago. Less than 15 min from the port.

Another one here that Tam found.

Thanks very much Lenny HB - the aire you've used recently at Belleville-sur-Mer looks perfect, we'll give that one a go!
Thanks again, that's really helpful! 😊
