I've just booked on the Newhaven to Dieppe service, outward on 3rd May.
Normally DFDS don't give refunds for cancellations (but you can change dates for a nominal fee) but in view of the Brexit uncertainties DFDS are offering to refund the fare if the cancellation is made at least two weeks before the sailing date.
Obviously they hope it will discourage travellers from delaying bookings until after the Brexit hoo-haa has been resolved and as well as being in their commercial interest it's a nice bit of common sense from DFDS.
I've already obtained my Green Card (FOC) and IDP (£5.50) just in case they will be needed. Well, it's so easy it would be silly not to.
