Getting the hang of it
Thinking about buying a Dethleffs T7057 Ebl but I'm having trouble finding reviews ,any views on the Dethleffs brand, good, bad ?
Maybe in the wrong place if so please move to the appropriate place.
Lindsay

You don't sound too impressed could I ask what problems you had.

I have a A7877-2 trend , They are made by the Hymer group , I think it’s great & I would buy another in a minute , I see Pullingers have one in stock , bought mine from them , great company to deal with

We have an Alpa A6820-2, again from Pullingers. Very impressed with the build quality and the after-sales from Pullingers. A few minor niggles from new which were all sorted without quibble.

I have a 2012 Dethleffs Esprit T7150 DB. It's regarded as mid-range motorhome and the quality I would say is very good.
It is quite long for a two berth at 7.6 meters and has a fixed bed, a large garage and reasonably hi spec fittings and finish.
Typically German I would say, but not as good as a mid-range Hymer, although Dethleffs do have their high end models.
The seating area and table converts to give another berth but it is a pain to setup.
Some of their design decisions are a bit questionable, but nothing major.
It is the only motorhome I have owned so cannot compare to others, but we like it very much.

Two recommendations for pullingers and three likes
for the brand very reasureing.
Pullingers is a long way from me in Leeds but for a good dealer may be worth travelling.
Going to the NEC tomorrow to check out the vans
so a decision may be made soon.

ALPA 6820-2 is a Lovely MH & the inspiration to buy mine unfortunately the garage was too small to get my scooter in or I would also own one

Pullingers are 400 miles away from me , after making contact they really inspired confidence ( unlike my 2 nearest Dethleffs dealers ) , I’m glad I bought from them , smallish family business , real easy to deal with very different from the usual car salesman type , I got a great deal on my brand new MH & when I do change my MH it will definitely be with them

Ps I don’t think the Dethleffs factory will be at the NECC as they were at the one in October 19 , But Pullingers are there with the pilot range

Right find Pullingers and have word thats a plan
Thanks all

Hi Scotchmist, so are you the guy that picked up their new MH from Pullingers on August 31st and drove back after midnight on September 1st? We picked our Alpa up when they opened and I remarked that presumably we were the first 68-plate they had delivered, only to be corrected!
(apologies for hijacking your thread Carthorse)

Another up vote for the brand. We have a Globebus GT7 and are very, very, happy with the build quality and design. Would recommend Dethleffs to anyone without hesitation.

We have a Dethleff 7057 dbm and we are absolutely over the moon with It. The van has been fantastic from day one and we have had no issues at all with it.
If there are any question that we can help you with please let us know.

Well Stephan , our’s was registered on the Saturday 1st September BUT we flew down & picked it up on Monday 3rd at 1200 hrs , 380miles & 10 hrs later we got home , so don’t think it was us

Scott kindly picked us up at the airport, fantastic service

Carthouse please let us know how you get on

Hate to say lowdhams. I know a lot of people knock them but I've bought two caravans from them and had no problems even when things went wrong (a damp year old Bailey).
Also couldn't find anybody from pullingers on the pilot stand.

My last MH was a Dethleffs Esprit and I had no complaints with it. SWMBO wanted something bigger as it was a model without a fixed low level bed and the shower wasn't separate

Well done , you’ll love it , for us Pullingers was £4000 less than lowdhams wanted

Didn't get that much off but managed to get a few extras throw in.
Happy with the deal and looking forward to a summer's touring in our new German moho.

We bought ours from lowdhams and got a great deal, when we picked it up in May it came with great hifi that we weren’t expecting.
The only drawback we had at the time was waiting 9 months to get it!

Had work done by Pullingers very happy with their no nonsense approach nice bunch of guys totally recommend

We have a Trend 7057 dbm which we have had for just over 12 mths. The van has been fantastic and we have had no issues at all. We bought ours from Lowdhams in Huddersfield and got a good deal and no issues.
