at bayeux today and for the morning and looking for another larger town (which may be open :-)) and thinking deauville (have done honfleur ) on our gradual way back to Calais . Any thoughts ? Worth a stop over .

loving the camper life Btw

It’s a lovely place, the beachfront is great for getting a photo alongside a film stars name (you’ll understand if you go). The town itself has plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants. We will definitely be going back.

I stayed on a site near there a few years back.

Just a typical French seaside town which to me is boring, especially at this time of the year.

Personally I prefer Le Touqet

Good luck with the aire there bit tight and a lot of full timers but heard police cracking down

A bit out of the way but not too far from calais, just up to Dunkirk and on to Ypres. Belgium. Very nice town, full of history, menim gate, WW1 museums
