I have narrowed the choice down in 2 weeks to around these 2. A Dethleffs Globebus T006. The 6.9m low profile one and only 2.2m wide or a Pilote 740 GJ which is 745 length and a bit wider. Like the low profiles ones -need a big garage for cycling which is a big part of going away. Really like the Globebus and think it would be big enough. Are there any preferences of under 7m to over 7m when it comes to using it? Ferry charges etc. Would the globebus be big enough for 6 weeks away?
Really appreciated. Thanks John.

Hi and welcome.

The layout will determine if you would be comfortable for an extended period or not.
That includes your bikes, sleeping, lounging and the time of year and where.

Hi and welcome to FUN. (y) You have to think would it be comfortable enough on those wet, when your forced to sit and read a book.

Width is the main consideration imo. We took our Carthago to a site in North Yorkshire today, 2.27m wide, only just got through the gate!

Beware of filling up the garage with everything you can as it’s easy to go ovverweight on the back axel

We are experts in getting stuck in Spanish/Portugese/French & Greek villages width is more important than length, I can assure you.
Thank you - that makes lots of sense.
