Lots but slow learner.
Which dealer's are known to have the largest stock to view.
Want to view all classes new and used.

What van are you after?

What van are you after?
Not fussed on any given brand. The layout and engine are the criteria.

A Class or Coach.
New or up to 3 years old max
Twin beds not less than 28/9 inches wide with no obstructions like wardrobes at bed level.
Or
Island bed not less than 5ft wide.
Central bathroom (deffo not rear bath)
Door to separate bed from habitat.
Largish fridge freezer
2 X sofa lounge area.
Oven, hob with 3 x gas and 1 elec
Blinds.
Engine not less than 150 bhp.

Other stuff we can decide if can be retro fitted after purchase.
We appreciate a compromise here and there maybe needed.

Our Imala to be part Exed.
No finance.

C1 ok.

We will be looking in ernest soon after we can get back, when, who knows.

Google maps will probably be a good start with local dealers until others come up with suggestions. Searches will show those nearest, and the aerial view should show the numbers on their sites, so you can ignore the smaller ones without the choice you want to select from. Living at Hartford and having an Autotrail you are probably well aware of the nearest. From where I am my next nearest personal choice of dealers with a large selection I would head to south of Preston for Campbells and Todd’s, then Huddersfield for Lowdhams if it was purely on numbers and variety of manufacturers.
I did drive to south of Bristol to see a dealer with a model I wanted to look at in detail once.

Been to a few of the relatively local dealers when we were looking for the one we have now. They just seemed to have very little stock with not much to view.
Did Campbells and Todds. Spinneys are the closest but again not a lot to look at. Noted Lowdhams.
We/will are prepared to travel but not just to look at 1 or 2.
Thanks for the tip.

Bob
assuming you just want a viewing selection in one place, Lowdhams Huddersfield usually got one of everything they sell, but as a dealer I Put them into the “ not great” category when I was buying ( to be fair- no dealer got into the “great” category😄

There is the Preston triangle just 35 miles north of us, Marquis, Preston C&MH, Campbells, Todds, Signature all within about 10 miles of each other

Happy Hunting

Laika offer several models that would work. It also happens I am in talks with them at the moment
Knaus and Roller Team have A Classes but dont offer the twin benches at the front, same with Malibu.

Thanks Simon. All part of narrowing it down. I will look.

Sounds like a very English style layout (twin sofa, full oven) although you could try Pilote.

Lowdhams have a massive selection, go there to choose what layout style brand etc and the go somewhere else to buy it! Only my personal view but I had a new one off them and they have been nothing short of atrocious. 55 miles from you approx

Will certainly go have a look.

Do a search for Le Voyageur dealers, our one has rear twin beds, central shower with separate toilet and bench seats at the front with a large garage. Part of the Pilote range

There appears to be some big dealers down south. Thinking identify them and when we can go down in the MoHo for a few days and visit them all.
One issue of buying from miles away is warranty work if needed. Cross that bridge when we come to it i suppose.
Thanks for all the tips on dealers and MoHos to look at all noted.

We are old English type people. Tried the dinette type layout in a couple of rentals, prefer the 2 X sofa style.
Would forgo the oven if the micro wave had an oven/grill function.

We’re the same, not many about, even less with Alde heating which is on our list as we love it in our current MH. Swift kon tiki 625 (twin sofa version) is currently top of our list when we change.

No one has mentioned Don Amott Leisure , between Derby and Burton.
Laikia and Knaus plus others.
Only my opinion though, so don’t shoot me.

Another tick for Bailey. My local MoHo place can and will look after a Bailey for me if we go that route.
Reply from them under. Big point for me.
