When we ordered our new MH the dealer threw in 3000€ of accessories ‘for free’ (I know…). Anyway, here’s what I’m planning on ordering:

Maxxfan Deluxe and shade
Thule Omnistor 8000 awning 4.5mx2.75m
IMC security locks
2 x 200w solar set-up (I plan to specify a victron charge controlller)
Victron smart shunt

What do people think? Anything obvious I’m missing?

I would forget the awning and get a quest pop up pro 4 or 6 .better than an awning imo cheaper and lighter and you can leave them out if you go off somewhere.
Also refillable lpg bottles.
Make sure your solar controller and anything else battery wise is lithium compatible because thars the way to go eventually.

Habitation A/C if not fitted

I wouldn't bother with an awning unless youre the type to stay on one site for a while and have alternative transport.

Cant agree with those against an awning. A roll out awning essential for us as a sunshade, and goes in and out in seconds when you want to move.
I was thinking he meant a proper awning , don't think I've ever seen a coach built without a pull out one already fitted

Didnt think of that. Certainly a fixed enclosed awning on a motorhome seems a bad idea. I did have one once on a PVC but that was for overflow sleeping accomadation. I had got the PVC after my divorce thinking there was room for me but then two of my boys wanted to come with me. A tent would in retrospect probably have been more practical and cheaper.

He is in Spain so a roll out awning is essential, and definitely a second battery.

I fear you may have overspent significantly already. You don’t get much for 3K from a dealer.

Solar pluse extra battery a definite. I’ve never had a maxxfan, so can’t comment. A wind out awning Awning, Surely it’s factory fitted?
If it’s not fitted a quest pop up for me.

If you use a gas grill or gas "bbq" then an external gas point is a great idea. We use ours all the time for a cadac and would definitely have one fitted if we changed van.

Also, though it's dead easy to fit yourself, a Vanbitz battery master is IMO essential if your solar regulator doesn't charge the engine battery

We just got a new PVC and the extra we put on were:

- solar.
- second battery.
- wind-out awning.
- electric step.
- external gas point for BBQ.
- external hot/cold water point for washing the dog - the best bit of kit :-)
- alarm and tracker.

I did mean just the roll out sort of awning for a bit of quick shade :giggle::sun:

I think you may be right. I think what I’ve got on the list comes to around 3000 without any installation costs. I wonder if they’ll fit it all for free?
