Better to use the roll which is probably cheaper and you will get less waste by cutting it to fit.

You’ll need a lot more than 12. Is this just for sound deadening between panels?

Yes it's for sound deadening and I planning getting more than 12 don't worry. Just wonderednif these were just as good as dobo deadening panels. Or go with roll like above post suggests? Thanks otter spotter

Try looking at Greg Virgoe on YT , will be of great help in your build :) Deadening is usually done with high density bitumastic type pads .

I bought a roll of self adhesive sound deadening foam, the adhesive started to fail after five years, even the spare roll in the shed deteriorated.

Sound deadening requires mass. By that I mean it has to be physically heavy. If that stuff in the advert is a light-weight foam it will do nothing to reduce noise.
