Hi All
I want to use our MH for occasional quiet days where I can read, write and watch the countryside. As we're fairly new to this we don't have many appropriate places on our list so was wondering whether anyone knew of any places in Central Scotland or the Borders that would fit the bill? Given the price of diesel I don't want to drive too far and we're midway between Edinburgh and Glasgow.
One that I've identified is a bit far away but if anyone's interested there are great lochside parking spots along Loch Vennacher.
The MH is 3 metres tall so any kind of height barrier puts us out in the cold which means that the beaches of East Lothian are out. shame.
Thanks for any ideas.

I would have thought Loch Lomond sounds about right for you.
Some nice laybys along the West side, although you don't say if you want overnight stays.
At this time of year I would think you would be OK
Above Loch Vennacher is Loch Lubnaig & that also has places by the loch that may suit you.

Thanks Keith
I'm not looking for overnight stops, just reasonably easy to reach places where I can spend a day now and again enjoying the peace and reading etc.
