Hi, does anyone have any recent experience of dealing with David Fuller Leisure? We are looking to buy a Motorhome there but don't live locally so don't know anything about them. We are also a bit concerned that there is only a six month warranty period. Most of the bigger companies offer three year warranties. The problem is that the six months will be up before the Motorhome is hardly used, it's not like a car that's used every day. Any feedback would be much appreciated

Three year warranty, You only get two years on most new vans.

Brought our 1st motorhome of them and they did us good, salesman by the name of Steve lived near Lincoln.
Second time we went to change salesman came out to us asked what we wanted we told him and he walked away.
So ask for Steve

When we were looking for MH we looked at the model we wanted there but walked away because they said it was their warranty and they would fix any problems but nothing in writing what it covered,I know people call Brownhills but I have had three MH all with 3 year warranty and if I have had a issue it has been fixed.

Never dealt with them, but 6 month warranty is no good unless you use the van a lot in that time.
Some folk on here believe most warranties are not worth the paper they are written on,others have had good results when things go wrong.
You should read the warranty that's on offer.
Maybe they will extend the term(at a price which you can negotiate as part of the total deal).
I assume it's a used van you are buying. You could get an independent inspection done on it.

Lots of good reviews on 'another Forum';). and reports of them going the extra mile to deal with any after sales issues. I live within a few miles and understand that they have a good reputation, going to try them for servicing in September.

Thank you to everybody for your helpful replies. However, we ended up finding another Motorhome at Elite Motorhomes near Banbury. They seem a really nice genuine outfit so, back to the drawing board, does anyone have any experience of them?

We bought our Motorhome from them and were very pleased with the service. The warranty we had was backed by Fullers rather than an external company so they sort any problems themselves without having to get authorisation for the work. Ours had to go back twice for faults, once for a leaky window and the oven door brackets needed replacing after the door dropped and wouldn't close. Both times no problem at all and the jobs were done quickly. I'm not sure how you'd go about having repairs done if you live a large distance away, perhaps they sub contract?

Thank you for that but, in the end, we found a van closer to home. As you say, buying something at a distance is not ideal.

A1 company
6mth warranty is a proper warranty and it is not months trying to book in
