Any "non invasive" damp meter should be ok. I would buy one that shows a reading in "percentage".
Anything showing over 20% is very bad news.
But remember they are not infallible so make sure you are not just reading a solid object under the surface.
Check either side of a high reading. If you have a damp problem it does not usually just show over a couple of inches.

Even the cheapest meter will give you some guide. If you go around your van and get average readings of "X" but suddenly find a spot that gives "X plus" at least you know it needs checking further. ?
