Radio fitted easier than I thought, just the cables to tidy up with trunking in the wardrobe. Crystal clear DAB and that is without the ground plate earthed to chassis yet so no -Ve return for built in amplifier will finish that off tomorrow.

Just need a 12 year old to show me how it all works.

Re-read.. This time read the part about the screw. Can I suggest another method? Mine is as follows: Drill through with a hole cutter from below whilst ensuring the hole cutter doesn't touch the underside of the outer skin. Remove 'plug' of insulation etc. Enlarge hole in skin to suit aerial & install it. If you have chosen the hole cutter wisely the white cap from an aerosol is a push fit and a hole in it for the lead(s) completes the job.

Job is already finished but thank you
I knew that from the photos - it's just another way to do the same job. I can never fault your methods - I've seen the pics of your charging set-up :D.

Will be a useful idea to someone else (y)

Some feedback
Drove back from Crystal Palace to Leeds and not a single drop out apart from a third (middle) of the Dartford tunnel
I’m assuming it seamlessly changes between DAB & FM ? Don’t know really as undetectable
100% success

That has been my experience of DAB with a decent aerial. I really don't miss noisy FM whilst it's hunting for the next transmitter. DAB just works. Mine doesn't switch seamlessly to FM - on the rare occasion it has happened DAB goes off then there's a very noticeable delay of several seconds of silence then FM kicks in. Incidentally on the few DAB radios I've been involved with there's been a Menu option to decide whether you want it to switch to FM or not.
