Van conversion
Hi,
We are in a bit of a funny situation in that we cannot screw into the walls of our van conversion. It was originally a factory build minibus and there is plastic and behind insulation and wiring in the walls...so are looking for an alternative way to hang curtains.
Was thinking about gluing on the normal curtain rails into the inset windows but would love to hear other ideas?
Also got a suction cup blackout blind which would be great at night time but a bit impractical for day to day use.
Anyone else in this little predicament?

We had velcro in an old Vw a few years ago. It worked well for us as the weight in the curtain was quite low really. Never fell off or dropped down at all.

That sounds good, did you find it a bit awkward not being able to "pull back the curtains when needed"?
But maybe in reality it wouldn't be a hassle at all. For us its all new!

Check out any curtain shop. All our "light" curtains (at home) are on curtain wires which "clip" into small sockets that self-adhere to the UPVC window frames - sure they'd be okay on your van.

What about fixing a small wooden baton along top of window area or door area with no more nails , painting it and then fixing whatever curtain rail you want?🤷 I'm not sure how much room you have but I did this over my hab door

On a previous van I converted, I stuck black velcro tape round the window frame and could either hand the curtains as a pair, overlap them or dress them back at the bottom. All very easy and simple to peel open when in bed and something makes a noise outside. For us on one occasion it was a herd of cows with one scratching her back on our door mirror at 3 in the morning. Great fun trying to herd cows out of a camping field quietly by moonlight dressed only in your pants
