All my cars for the last 30 years have had cruise control - including my old 911. Apart from the convenience, it keeps speeding tickets at bay...

Everything is worth it if you can afford it

Best mod I fitted to my Movano..
Not just for motorway.. great for long straight, ish 30 and 40mph sections.
Would not be without it.
Obviously better with an auto but still incredibly useful on manual.

We added cruise control to our first van next 2 it was one of the must haves.

Cruise control I find is of limited benefit. Roads are usually too busy and inevitably those in front of you don't know how to do a constant speed yet you can't overtake from the middle lane / outside lane hoggers.

Speed limiter function is I believe now essential, especially with so many average speed camera areas. Set that and you can drive at traffic speed without risking over egging it when there is that momentary free space and more importantly you can keep eyes on the road rather than watching the speedo.

of all the vehicles Ive owned with CC, without doubt the MOST useful has been on the MH.
I genuinely think its safer to drive with it set, instead of constantly glancing at the speedo to avoid stealth "safety" taxes and more importantly potentially missing whats ahead.
Makes driving a MH much more relaxing and safer for me.
Some years ago I fitted a Conrad Addison one to a car it was excellent.

By comparison the Fiat one is rubbish.
Im on the Fiat Ducato 2012, works perfectly! (for me any way). Love it in temporary speed limit contraflow scenarios, approaching a round-about, push the pause button and slow down, then push it again to accelerate back up to speed afterwards. I swear it accelerates back up to speed quicker than pressing the accelerator manually.
I definitely get better mpg with CC on too. 25mpg from 5300 GVW!

Definitely worth it, drove over 150 kilometres in Spain 2 days ago in the motorhome on cruise control without stopping. Makes the drive more pleasurable for me

I drove 3200 miles down to Spain and back recently, most of that using cruise control.

Had after market cruise fitted some years ago and worth every penny 👍🏻

3200km without stopping, that's one hell of a stint. I could only manage 150km which is what I was referring to. The total trip which was well over 4000km most of which was on cruise control but over 11weeks 😂

Eh! Never mentioned I did it without stopping. BTW, it was miles not km.

Struggling to find one for a Fiat Ducato 2.3. 2003

I even use it in 30 and 40 limits, (where its clearly safe to do that speed), keeps my eyes on the road.. without having to focus on fund raising cameras at the expense of driving safely.

I have one on the car and found it great cruise control and speed limiter

but swifty doesn’t have one so it’s foot on all the time.
and then of course on the long run the quick foot shuffle to the other foot that either presses to hard or Not hard enough ..

I am sure everyone know what I mean.

I do that in the car but Fiat one on the Motorhome is so naff often don't bother.

Not worth it if only uk travelling. You can never do a constant speed. Abroad yes.

I've got a 100kph speed limiter which on 245 75 16 tyres is bang on 66mph. Which is about 70mph on most stock Speedos.

Happy days!

I use cruise control all the time. In the UK. Came back from Chesterfield to Bradford M1 then M62 this pm - CC most of the way.
I often go to Aberdeenshire. Sometimes have set the CC where we join the M6 at Kirby Lonsdale and haven't touched it for over 80 miles
Using CC, whilst not easy on busy roads, is to an point a learned skill.
