Good afternoon.
Just a question, regarding the French Crit'Ar Sticker. I changed my Motorhome last October, and am in the process of getting a Sticker for this Motorhone. Filling in the online form on the original French site, there is no provision for the class of Motorhome., but there is a catagory for a light commercial vehicle N1. Is this correct for a 3500 Kg Motorhome. It is about 9 years since I applied for this emmissions sticker on my last M/H, an Elddis 3300kg, which because of its weight , was classed as a car. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks. BillyS

I’m sure that’s the nearest…. You send in a copy of the main page of the V5 so they can see what it is.

I just did mine which admittedly is under 3500 but put N1

Many thanks chris in plymouth. Yes, I remember sending a pic of my V5 previouly I just went through all the motions just now, of filling the online form out, without actually paying. I justed wanted to make sure my MH was classed correctly before paying. Thanks again

I assume that at 5000kgs its HGV as the French don’t do PLG. I’ve got mine form filled in, but I can’t get my V5 under 2MB. I’ve googled how to do it, but I’m struggling.

Yes it is N1 - I’ve just applied for mine (which arrived yesterday) and that’s what I used. I think there’s an info button (either marked “I” or “?” by the class section which explains what to use if you’re unsure

Try the App “Image Size”.

You can reduce the image size by reducing the pixel count. If you download the App it is fairly intuitive.

I reduced once, it still wouldn’t fit. Reduced further and went through OK. Good luck.

Download the App to compress files, take the picture and compress it using the App and then add the compressed photo from your saved photos. I’m having a problem getting past the first page while trying to load my car,
when I press continue there’s a box about commercial vehicles that stops me going forward, I’ve done 3 other vehicles in the past without problems

Fill the form in for under 3500 and the sticker has “2”……hope this is correct?

I filled in Car as that is category M, which a MH is, albeit M1 (Special purpose), as it is a passenger vehicle. The N category is for goods, which a MH is not.

My MH is over 3.5t. The application went through and I have my sticker.

this is correct .

Just applied for another one as my windscreen has to be renewed. Burstner 4000 kg classed as M1

As has been said, the form is not the easiest thing to complete when your logbook doesnt have all the answers……my sticker arrived with No”2” on it, is that correct for a 3500 MH???

Depends on your emissions of course. If you are euro6 then yes, that sounds about right.

I am still waiting for my sticker to arrive. Grrr

Euro 5 on my 2012 boxer got a yellow 2 sticker. Just applied for a second one for our new windscreen 2019 Euro 6Y it will be a yellow 2 sticker. If you have done the application correctly you will get an email that you can print out a copy of your sticker which you can display if you have to travel before the actual one arrives. I applied online Thursday email conformation arrived this morning.

Hi all, I'm just completing the form & have got stuck at one point. Could anyone let me know what to out under "Mark"? It isn't in the explanation panel & I have no idea what to put.

Thank you, but I don't think its a problem with the upload, see below.

I was going to apply for ours, but our V5 doesn’t state euro 5, it’s just blank.

Will this be a problem or would they also need my COC documentation?

Nor does mine. I think they just go on year of manufacture to establish that. Could be a problem if you were on the cusp when an emissions category changed part-way through a year, so you might get a worse emissions number.

But does it really matter - the main reason for getting one is that you cannot be stopped for not having one at all.

Unlike the German system under which the restrictions on entry apply at any time, the French system only comes into force when the Mayor of a town/city deems the pollution level is too high, and issues a decree that only vehicles in categories xxx are permitted to enter the emissions zone.

AFAIK it has never happened yet. So you would be very unlucky to be planning to go into a town when your category was banned. If so unlucky go somewhere else, or take the bus in.
