Crazily stiff seat adjusters!

Love our Rapido 8094 but the front seats don’t love me! Can just about manag the swivel lever but the seat back adjuster tries to knock me out if I eventually manage to pull the darned thing and then I can’t return the back up whilst still holding the lever. If this makes sense to anyone out there please help with any suggestions on how to loosen the whole mechanism. Thankyou much.
PS the van is 4 years old so the newness should have worn off,

While pulling the seatback lever push back slightly on the seatback to take the strain off the adjuster mechanism.
The opposite for the swivel.
Make sure you aren't accidently pushing against the mechanism when trying to lift/push the lever

I've got a similar problem with our Carthago, it has stupid large 'knob' type controls for the backs which cause me pain to grab and turn as they are so stiff and haven't slackened off since we bought the MH, even hubby finds them hard to use ... would love to be able to make them easier to turn.
