COVID test within 3 days before returning to UK

I understand I have to have a COVID test before I return from holiday in Spain, and I can buy a test kit to take with me before I depart on my holiday. Has anyone any experience of this service? Understand that you have to remote video connect with the supplier when you're abroad, so they can validate the results? Will Brittany Ferries accept the email or bar code on my phone, or do they require a paper copy before allowing me to board to return. Assuming of course the test is negative.

Thanks. Seems very little information other than the test has to be taken. Im double vaccinated.

We booked today with medmesafe for test in Pamplona before ferry. All booked on line just need to be negative or we are up the creek

If you’re referring to the C19testing.co.uk service, my understanding is that you have to upload a photo of your completed test and passport on their website (rather than remote video connect) and they email a certificate to you within 12 hours. So unless you can get it printed off in a campsite office or similar, you would have to present it on a phone or tablet.

Unless of course there are other companies offering a similar service?

Phileas Fogg has started a thread here asking if anyone has real life experience of how well the service work - might be worth keeping an eye on?
