Could anyone help and let me know what is the best driving sat nav app is to get for my motorhome

That will depend entirely on who answers you so I will start it off with CoPilot ;) it used to be good but then they changed it and its now just OK, I think they have changed the way you pay for it making it more expensive so that might go against it as well, could also depend on what size vehicle you are driving as to what features you want.

Camper Contact and Park4Night is all we use.
Camper contact is a free download to TomTom and Garmin

If there was a "best" one, that is what everyone would use and all the rest would be out of business (y)

If you have car play google maps is great except you cannot input the width, height or weight dims but I use a TomTom 'truck'(er?) in tandem as a separate screen. Google maps is quicker re routing/traffic etc.

Another good one is Waze but not sure if it covers Europe.

Copilot used to be excellent and allowed entry of hight weight etc. New version not so good. The best is probably now the chinese cheapy Nozatec or whatever.

Philips ......... Road atlas, never needs charging and doesn't talk back !

needs to be spiral bound

I have a aguri AGR 720 with a built in dash cam and 9" tablet screen with Android and WiFi connectivity.
Brilliant for height and width programming, and comes with 12v and 240v chargers and various screen/ dash mountings.
Maps and instructions are very clear with good audio, and various media modes can be added.
Can also be used as a rear view camera monitor if you have a camera and the correct aux plug.
I really rate mine, but I needed to buy a new tablet, dash cam and satvav, and this, for my needs, is perfect.
Oh..., And no annual subscription fees. Works using Google Europe maps.
Worth a look!

we just use google on our phones, regarding size ,if it looks to narrow it probably is

Does Camper Contact upload to TomTom or does TomTom download from Camper Contact and is it a straight forward process? Sounds a useful option.

Ive got the Garmin Overlander and it works really well. Has normal and Ordinance Maps as standard for the whole of Europe, Africa and Asia. You set your vehicle dimensions in the satnav and it will route you accordingly. It also give you a load of warnings whilst driving..... Sharp corner, Steep decend, Strong side winds........ect as they approach. It can also take 5x cameras that are connected wireless via Bluetooth, So you can place them strategically around the vehicle where you would like to see.

I have Sygic Truck - it is OK but rerouting is absolutely useless - it needs to be run in tandem with google maps if you want the best route

I used to use CoPilot until they changed it, why they messed with it is beyond me!

I'm now using google maps and find it to be excellent, especially via Apple Car play (y)

I wouldn't get too hung up whether the mapping is specific for larger vehicles, even using the CoPilot motorhome version, I've had a few squeaky bum moments............. Again, if it doesn't look right, don't risk it.

Don't use Copilot, it's bordering on dangerous. It can no longer be set ro use main roads so will always try to send you down the nearest cart track.

Google maps through an IPad clipped on the central pop up holder of the dash.
