Cornwall, Norway Cruise and France.

A lovely yet easy bike ride through the forest calling into Lyndhurst then onto Brockenhurst, pints and a pasty.
Now back at base awaiting the rain, yet it's not arrived, oh well sunbathing it is then with maybe a few scoops 😉.

Going to try the oak Inn for lunch.

Just realised although I had printed my luggage labels for the cruise on Sunday I didn't print the car parking label, off to Winchester library tomorrow afternoon to use there print on demand service, 20p seems fair I think for a printed A4 sheet.
We also realised Phil is missing a pair of smart slip on leather loathers, so a light shop in Winchester and if no joy we will get a train into Southampton for a serious shop on Saturday.

Ask in the pub if they’ve got a printer. 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Again another lovely ride through the forest to arrive at The oak inn at Lyndhurst. A traditional British pub with usual suspects of food. Great staff, food and drink.

We relocated to Winchester CAMC yesterday and went into the city.
First stop the library, total cost 80p to print 4 sheets of A4. Very reasonable.

We found phil a lovely pair of shoes.
During all of this we visited some of the pubs, purchased some biltong from a trader on the street market and ended up at The Ivy restaurant for the menu del dia, a starter and a main for £21 we added a bottle of south African Chenin blanc wine to wash it all down, perfect.

We are meeting up in Southampton tonight to have dinner with Phils dad and wife (who are both lovely) at there hotel, so we may have a walkabout Southampton this afternoon.
Tommorow is cruise time, happy to see all of the family, all 17 of them 😀 oh dear what have we done 😆😆.

That would be the Queen Anne then? Seems to be the only cruise ship in tomorrow. It's the only Cunard one we haven't been on yet since the last days of the QE2.
We have done many cruises however this is only our second cunard cruise.
We did a transatlantic crossing on the Queen Mary many years ago, which was great fun as it was a big group of friends.
This was also when the 3 Queens of the time all sailed into New York together, very surreal

One of the cruises we returned from was when all three came up the Solent together. Off on Arcadia to Iceland & Nord Kapp next week. QE2 terminal - my least favourite as there's usually a clog-up queue along the dock road.

We are ocean cruise terminal. CCP are parking our motorhome.
It worked out with cunards discount at £99 for the week. Normally in excess of £300.

Did you book lastminutedotcom, as usually when booking on Cunard you get complimentary car park, or can use onboard spend amounts to pay for it if the cut off date was missed.

If DDS/BlueLight cardholders you get U$250 per person on board spend that can be drawn as cash at the pursers office.

In Stavanger if you don't book a day trip onboard, but walk out of the port gate and there are local bus tours that are much cheaper and do far more in the time. They are the same company that do the ship tours.

All drama today, phils dad had a heart scare this morning, after a hospital visit in Leicester everything is fine.
We are now sat in Southampton in a harbour bar with them both.
Going for a meal later.
