I've been experimenting using a tablet for a sat nav using google maps but I miss the lane guidance I had with tomtom. I found it very useful abroad.
So I thought I'd try one of the paid for apps, but which one ???
Most seem to have a caravan or truck version.
I know copilot and sygic get mentioned but wondered if there is much to choose between them ?
TIA

I use co-pilot, which was loaded on my iPad by another Fun member just to try. I liked it so much I purchased the full European version and still use it now. I grew up with TOM-TOM and although I've recently changed it for a Garmin in the wife's car, which doesn't do as good a job IMHOpinion, the Co-Pilot however is more intuitive rather like Tom-Tom.

Tried both, found the routing very similar, but found POI handling and just moving around the map and readability much better with CoPilot.

Copilot is 1000x better since the update a few weeks ago. You can now set routing options aswell as vehicle size and weight

Sygic does not recognise over 3.5t in routing even when it is in settings. Unless you have it in truck mode in which case the routes are designed around delivery times.

emailed them directly and they confirmed this

or you could just try Waze for nothing. if you don't like it you've lost nothing. (y)

You can try Sygic for nothing too. Free trial I believe. Certainly was when I tried it.
